Warframes are essentially like character classes in other games, meaning that in order to augment your abilities to get the most out of them, you'll need to equip mods to improve certain aspects of that character.

There's certainly a lot more to Warframe itself that's worth delving into, but it may be somewhat intimidating going in blind.
